I was under the impression that the photo was to be taken during the month. I have tried to go out and shot that month on the theme because it is fun to do the extra shots or think about how to best capture the theme. It is only a contest in a forum to learn, share, and enjoy our cameras and shots.

There are some wonderful pictures in this month's competition, and it is hard to select only six - it took three passes for me, but I'm just an amateur.

The current rules do not indicate that pictures have to be taken in that month, so all pictures should stand this time. If enough people feel strongly that it should be a requirement, then I would suggest split the contest into two; 1. pictures taken this month (much like POTW) and 2. a monthly theme without time restriction (as currently here).

How long do we have to vote? I think I remember it being the full month. But I am not sure. This may take me a while. I am enjoying all of the submissions. Gonna be tough to whittle down.

BTW if any of you like me couldn't see some of the pictures, keep scrolling up and down, for some reason some of them take a lot longer to download than others.

what a wonderful selection of photographs... so diverse... and some are truely excellant...

Who ever took 58... can I use it for a poster in my classroom??? I just LOVE it!!!!

I'd like to say that I also agree with this.
Unless I'm misunderstanding things, these aren't supposed to be "BEST PENTAX PHOTOS OF ALL TIME" but rather a theme to give users a place to start to go out and take new pictures.

That said, there are some EXCELLENT shots in here, regardless of when they were taken.
