The Moon on 31. December 2012, the very last moon cycle that year.

These poles in the Trondheimsfjord, Norway, were part of a De-Gaussing system for German boats and ships during WW2. By demagnetizing the hull of the vessels they were less prone to attract magnetic mines. During WW2 there were metal plates along the seabed from the shore out to these poles. On the poles there was a control house for the system. High voltage electricity was connected to the metal plates, and the vessels passed above them.
