Wow! Such a wonderful selection!

13 is my choice. The way the man is sitting, the way his eyes are looking at the dog which is suspiciously sniffing out the photographer, the black and white medium, the even focus: all of these tangible characteristics and the likelihood that the man looked up a split second later make this a uniquely candid shot.

Tough choice.

I like most of them, and I really appreciate how they form a kind of "guide" to the street photography.

The first option is to find the scenery, which could produce an interesting photo, and then wait for an opportunity - #10, #15, and to some extent #8 and #3, which is brilliant on its own.


The second option is to freeze the reality - like in #4 or #11 (which surely deserves the praise for it's picturesqueness).


Third option is to be able to spot a great visual moment - like #7 or #12, and again #3.

Fourth - and the most difficult - option is to spot a great visual moment, which tells a story - like #1, #6, #9, #13 or #14. They are all great, and I'm torn between the first three. My vote goes to #6, mostly because I sense that it is being underrated, and something in the face and the posture of the soldier tells me, that it might have been a risky catch, worth a reward. As close as possible is #9.
