Contest Number: 144 Contest Theme: Movement at Night Lens: SIGMA EX 17-35 AF ASPHERICAL Camera: PENTAX K 1 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F8

The Ada Mae belongs to the City of New Bern in North Carolina. She is one of only a handful of Skipjacks in the world still afloat. I had my new K 1 (about three weeks) and was very late getting in from work in Morehead City. The Ada Mae is docked at Persimmons Restaurant a little over a block from home. The night wrapped me in quite, cool air so nice after a hot July day and I had my gear. The moon had yet to rise, but with my tripod steady, I took many shots of the changing scene. This one had a 30s exposure at ISO 100. The rising moon is oblong due to the long exposure and the bowsprit of the Ada Mae is showing movement due to the slight drift of the Neuse River.
