I wonder if #12 was deliberately published upside down - quite surprisingly it's a good picture regardless the orientation

High humidity with each prop and flap edge creating vortices from the change in pressure from high to low after leaving the airfoil! I love it as an amazing technical image and I love aviation images.

#12 has it for me, tough choice from a set of terrific photos. The timing of the shot is perfect, and the 'flip for the flip' is creative.
