The original GT (GT40) was a Ferrari-killer at Le Mans back in the 60s, and so when Ford’s centenary was due in 2003 the company set to create a new version that would evoke memories of it’s finest hour. The result was the Ford GT, an almost identical copy of the original race car – one that was famously just 40″ tall.
One of the ways Ford incorporated the centenary celebrations into the car was within the headlights, as there is a hidden ‘100’ within the design. It’s one of those things that you may have never noticed, but you’ll see it every time now!
