#2 most dramatic and interesting. It benefits most of being monochrome. Excellent composition. That thick contrast supports what's going on in the scene.

Wow, every one of these photographs are beautiful. Landscapes are so challenging for me, especially in B&W.
As I looked through them I kept saying wow, wow, wow! But when I reached #12, I couldn't go past it. My mind lingered, and my imagination kicked in. Where is this road going? What's around that curve? Where was it taken?...Because I want to walk that road. And the way it's printed also makes it very mysterious.
All of these pictures are beautiful, but #12 won my vote.

I voted #14. I like it very much.

Sometimes we tend to think that photography is the art of representing things with our cameras, but I think it has much more to do with capturing light, and this photo has a lot of this.

Anyway, a very difficult decision, all the images are at a very high level.

Thanks to all the people that voted my landscape that, deservedly, is not in the list of de best ones. I keep learning!

I voted foe #1. The presence of humans in the picture sets it apart from the others. There's a sense of belonging, of being there. it gives spirit to it.

There is a test I do when I consider an image, including in film and even anime, and that is to ask myself "Would I frame this and hang it on the wall?"

I'm not going to say which one I voted for, because it would take away from the others.

I loved the Landscapes but we need to get back to people or subjects. There was only one that met my criteria!

Too bad there can be only one winner! These are all outstanding images by any measure.

Very Hard to choose.
So, at home for covid 19, I hope to see as soon as possible what in the picture n. 1, that I vote.

There were some 200 candidates this month, and I have to say that at least 150 of them were under par. A big majority were rather flat and uninteresting. Have we forgotten the power of Light/Shadow? Luckily, the finalists are among the good ones.
There are even some very good ones here.
#1 catches the eye, but to me it falls outside the theme Landscape. What makes this a good one are the happy youngsters, not the landscape as such. So, I would have some difficulties accepting the result if this one reaches the podium.
#13 has colours, hasn't it? To me, that one falls outside, too.
This sounds negative, I am afraid. I just want to underline the importance of following the theme.

But as I said, there are enough good ones to make it a strong podium.
Happy voting!

B&W shooting takes a very different mindset from shooting color. People are either good at one or the other, not both. I look for nice patterns, high contrast and interesting subject matter. Lots to like here.

Kudos to whoever shot #12; fine tones, composition, depth and it draws you in so well. However, I'm going for #1 - fine tones, composition, depth but most of all the light and energy in the composition and subject. I'd hang that on my wall!
