José López ha sido campesino toda su vida, ha vivido ahí, en el mismo lugar por mas de 90 años. Ya su razón lo abandona y dice cosas incoherentes... pero no deja de ponerse sus botas y su ropa de trabajo todos los dias al amanecer. A veces confunde a las personas y las llama por otro nombre, a veces mezcla historias actuales con viejos recuerdos del pasado... Sin embargo, aún es capaz de recitar, es como si Dios le hubiese dado ese don de poeta improvisador para que lo acompañe y le alegre la vida hasta el ultimo de sus dias.
