This may be the best set of fifteen final photos I've seen in one of these monthly contests.

One thing I noticed, though, is that three photos were tied with the same number of votes for the fifteenth slot, and only one of them is seen above. My guess is that the tiebreaker may be which one got to that number of votes first?

But my two favorite photographs of those I nominated aren't here. Sigh. I wish you photos were here, AshleytheIslander and Hattifnatt. . . .

Still, what I wrote in my first sentence above holds. Even without my favorites, this is a great set.

WOW... such eye candy going through this incredible finalist.... But my personal choice would be number 4 then 6...

Agree they are all top shots in so many ways but for me its number 6 . it is a wonderful photograph telling so much about protecting the vulnerable. its up there with the best. also number 9 it is technically superb , and I'm raging over the dolphin image number 11 as it did not need the boat in the backgruond , distracting the freedom on display but still a great capture.
