This is my first time entering one of these contests, so I hope I'm doing this correctly.
Mount Wai'ale'ale on the island of Kauai is one of the wettest places on Earth, averaging about 450 inches of rainfall a year. This panoramic was photographed from atop the Kuilau Ridge Trail, looking west across the Halelea Forest to the Alaka'i Wilderness beyond.
