Selecting a single best image is always tough, but I keep coming back to this one.

Thanks. I wrestled with the B/W decision a lot. Color version has it's merits, but I think B/W adds three things. It makes the lines and partial framing of the trunk more clear. I like the contrast and details in the feathers better. And most important, it does a better job of bringing the focus of the image to the eyes of the owls and that's the essence of the image to me.
