Commonly known as Tai Tam Reservoir located in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, built by the colonial British Government completed around 1917, this stone bridge was built in 1907. Tai Tam Reservoir is one of the smallest and oldest reservoirs in Hong Kong, made up of four small reservoirs having a total capacity of 6.2M cubic meters, serve little purpose today due to the small size. The reservoirs group were declared as monuments in 2009, the Tai Tam Waterworks Heritage Trail was then opened, and became a tourist attraction and place for casual country walk close to the urban.
