My favorites are 4, 6, and 13. Voted for #4 because it has so much frozen activity and the lone person immediately draws your eye to them.

I am sure you didn't copy the antebellum article photo, Greg. I believe this shot is from one of the mansions near NOLO? Anyway, there are some definite differences in the foliage and angle of your shot.

Actually Greg,
I was thinking more like Don might have grabbed your image from somewhere and did an edit and crop, for his submission to the magazine article...

I did a copy and past into photoshop and except for yours having more subject matter (uncropped...) and better tone and contrast... they are virtually the same...

I've seen it happen before, with a friend who took a image inside the w Jack Daniels whiskey plant in Tennessee... and saw it in a print ad two years later...

Bob, this is Greg. Thanks for making me feel better!!

Same place, but the one here is a much better photo in my opinion.

It's a shame that we only get to choose one, there are many fine photos here.

Some photos go beyond the tonal range and it is clearly visible in the transition zones between shadows and highlights.
Will it take the K3 III Monochrome to relearn how to photograph in B&W?

My vote for #3.

I think number 13 has the patience of a saint. They should let at least 2 or 3 vote, even for points. They are all #1.

A timely competition given the release of the K-3iii Monochrome.
All these are worthy shots and as noted there are several potential winners.
#14 for me.

It is no doubt inspired by the pic you have referenced - but it is not the same.
The light is entirely different - obviously so on the building columns - and there are marks on the path in the posted example not in the link you referenced.
A great example of doing your homework for a pic - even the same number of trees are framed.
