A bit strange to see so much autumn and winter imagery for someone in the southern hemisphere - spring in full swing this side of course.

Hmm, there seems to be a few 1000pixel photos sneaking in, I thought the limit was 850X850?

Okay, this is the first time I've voted, so I hope I did it right: I chose the 8 best photos that represented a season in my opinion, not the what I thought were the 8 best photos. Good luck to all the submissions.

Jason, I think you can apply whatever criteria you like. I tend to pick what I think are the best photos that reasonably fit the theme. Your method may vary.

I think that's the right way to approach it. These aren't "My best shot" contests. They're supposed to illustrate a theme.

I used to live in the northern Adirondaks, there the saying was "We have two seasons, Winter, and the Fourth of July"

There are many outstanding photos but a lot of them are not really evocative of any particular season.
