Here is a shooting report from the website of Yodobashi Camera - one of the big electronics store chains in Japan. I think this guy has the special "pixie dust" edition of the kit lens. I wish I could do that!

Awesome shots! It helps to be an outstanding photographer, regardless of what equipment you are using. I have no idea what it says but with pictures like that who needs words? I also noticed that he used a white one too!

I was pleased with the little bit of shooting I have done with the 18-55 on the K-S1. Not great for pixel-peeping, but fine for most work. While I initially agreed with those that said the K-S1 should have a smaller kit lens, the 18-55 balances nicely and handles well on the K-S1 (IMO).

Running the text through both Google and Excite translators, mostly he just talks about the camera's features, and the shots themselves ("a pretty little lady has trouble walking in an unfamiliar kimono", etc.). For the moon shot, I think he draws the conclusion that the camera does better at ISO 3200 or less - so, mostly the same things we are finding. One sentence translates the same from both and sticks out to me: "I think that it is a good camera."

Not sure whether this link has been posted elsewhere. It's a very positive review.

The video cuts off before <insert youtube/photography celebrity> arrives, kicks sand on his puny not-weather-sealed camera, and runs off with the girl...
