You don't have to apologize! That is a great picture, lovely dog!

The K-S1 is great with old manual focus primes, isn't it? Small and light, yet with that great pentaprism (same as the K-3).

One more from Berry College in Rome, GA.

ISO 3200 can work sometimes... but I prefer to keep it 1600 and under!

With Sigma 30 1.4 Art, ISO 1600

Next ones with DA 16-45 and ISO 3200! These obiously required more PP, but I was able to get more DOF also by using a higher ISO.

It's fun to see these photos! My K-S1 is sitting in a cupboard at the moment, it's suffering with the aperture module problem (discovered/figured out early last summer). I've been trying to decide whether to get it fixed or replace it with something new. Looking at these photos get me more enthusiastic about getting mine repaired - plus there doesn't seem to be a Pentax offering that has the light weight/small size I get with the K-S1. I have far too much invested in Pentax lenses to think about adding a second system, and the one time I borrowed a friend's Nikon camera I found everything even more confusing than what I find shooting two cameras from the same manufacturer that has different controls (K-S1, K100, K1).

Sigh - I sure miss my K-S1.

I wish you would get it fixed. Not enough K-S1 posts here IMO. And I agree that there's not a good replacement for it at the moment in the Pentax range; lightweight is important to me. I'm considering getting a HD Pentax-DA 21mm F3.2 to go with ours, even though the price seems to have gone up by 20% since I last looked. Perhaps F-i-L will be kind to me this Xmas.

It starts

My little hawthorn starts showing some shoots. And the winter wheat pushes on in the field.
