Coming back from our 2-week vacation, most of our flowers died, as they were in vases that did not get watered. Some were eaten by deer... this is basically the sole survivor. K-S1 and DA 35 2.8 Limited Macro.

DA 35 Limited again.

I am never afraid to shoot with the K-S1 at ISO 3200.

I think the K-S1 sensor has the best colors of any CMOS cameras. Prove me wrong

Pink in particular usually isn't handled as well in CMOS sensors but the K-S1 nails it.

20MP gives plenty of detail (here it was downsized for web viewing, but trust me the detail is all in there)

It can do moody as well

Those are very good colors, especially on that table.

For me the fun with the K-S1 sadly came to an end a while ago when it also was visited by the aperture failure. That's life.

It doesn't have to end, there are ways to live with it and there are ways to resolve it. Resources are pinned to the top of this sub forum as well as all camera subforums that suffer from the possibility of the same failure. Having successfully "revived" my "dead" K-S2 without any previous experience in soldering for less than 50, I can attest that your time with the camera doesn't have to come to an end because of it.
