First pics with K-S1

I just got my K-S1 last week and here are some of my first pictures taken with it. Love the camera so far and am looking forward to taking many more photos with it. These pictures are of my two cats - brother and sister - Oliver and Einstein (Einstein is the female - aptly named due to her high intelligence level!)

Good to see some new avatars in the K-S1 "family"! (we're hoping for "cult", but you know, small steps. )

Finally got to have some fun with my K-S1:

Dreamy Lantana (just starting to learn the DA 20-40 Ltd):

Color!

More color!

If it looks like a postcard, good - it was supposed to:

All great images, but have to go with the loitering squirrel as my fave

Haven't tossed any in lately - here's our fading Hydrangea sending out a few final blue flowers

And a bright fallen leaf in Vivid mode

Yeah, it's a pity about the chairs between us, but you take the shot you have, not the shot you want. She knew I was up to something as I swapped lenses, so I couldn't move around.

More fun stuff:

Swallowtail

Still more color

Where's my supper?

Sorry, one more group - gotta keep "Fun with the K-S1" at the top of the forum!

Sun catcher

"What part of 'nocturnal' don't you understand?" (some issues with shooting through a fence wire, but I thought the expression was worth it)

Tiger in the tub

I can't run through them? No fair!

Shooting Star - and the rest of the museum in one shot

The pictures in this thread are awesome. Good to see that others are having fun with this little camera.

And I'll post a couple of the few photos I've taken the last couple of months "to help the cause" to keep this thread at or near the top of the forum. Time always seems to be a problem with me and I just haven't had much time to spend on my favorite hobby. That will hopefully change some next week. But in the meantime, here's a couple:

Fun with colors: in July I bought some Philips Hue light bulbs and these frosted table lamps. I wanted to take a picture for a color subject and came up with this idea. It was fun to carry it out. (K-S1, DA40 Ltd)

Right after I got the FA 100-300 f4.7,I visited my local county park, looking for Acorn Woodpeckers. I wasn't happy with the woodpecker pictures but here's proof that trees have faces.

I spent quite a bit of time in August buying something that's photography related, a new camera tote. A BIG camera tote! (K-S1, DA21Ltd)

I now own 2 of the most common vehicles in Southern California - a Prius and a white SUV.

While I haven't taken anything of note, at least I do get out occasionally and take some pictures. I still love this cute little camera!

Mine has been documenting projects lately: little creativity required
The kittens are getting bigger -

The steps are coming along -

and Spiders are EVERYwhere making webs for me to stagger through!

And as noted elsewhere, the snow line is coming down..
