Another lone pony on Barn Hill, this time with a sprinkling of snow. Super Takumar 20mm. In some ways the rendering style of the K-S1 reminds me of Ektachrome slide film, which is a good thing.

The miniature Nikon F is fantastic. Is it one of the ones that uses MInox film cartridges?

I just pulled the trigger on a KS1 with kit lens this afternoon. Not only has my husband expressed an interest in photography, I've also been wanting another body smaller than my K5 for travel and other times where I'd rather not schlep around a bigger body. I could've afforded the KS2, but then the husband wouldn't have been able to afford to get the electric guitar he's had his eye on for a while.

Even if photography doesn't take with him, I'll still have a great camera!

I'm looking forward to posting the first pics here once it comes.

BTW, I got mine for $329.99 at Adorams--can't beat that with a stick!

Great to see another K-S1 shooter joining in the fun. It's a wonderful little camera that can produce fantastic results for such a small size and light weight. Looking forward to seeing some pics from you and your husband.

Here's a B&W from last week (xposted).

It's here!

I haven't done any actual shooting yet, but I've been playing with it a bit. I think I'm going to like it a lot! I plan on getting out with it this weekend.

The color of the camera is "Cotton Linen", not quite as white as the standard white.
