The amount of detail the KS2 is able to resolve continues to surprise me. This was taken with a D FA100WR. The first is the full shot and the second a very tight crop.

Well, I took the KS-2 to the Sasquatch Festival for it's first concert shoot. Wow...it did great! Super backlit and other pros with 5D3's left lighting was so tough.
You have the KS2 shining.
Really nice work John.

Dynamic range & Exposure latitude of the Pentax K-S2

Wow I just bought a KS2 as a stop gap camera before getting the K1 in the next 2 years. I'm very impressed so far.

Shot at ISO 400 will all of the shadows and highlights recovered without issue

Shot at ISO 800 and pushed 3 stops to ISO 6400. All of the shadows and highlights recovered without issue
Nice to see people posting pictures showing good dynamic range & exposure latitude of the K-S2. I'm really surprised after finding that users are saying the K-S2 is better than K-3 at dynamic range, even when it's creates a 14bit raw file.

Would like to see it competing head to head with the Dynamic range beasts like the Nikon D7200 & D5500.

Things will get very interesting...

FA35 F2, first lens I got after the kit lenses. Didn't think it would be useful for landscape, but the 18-50 was being repaired so I gave it a try...

While I would normally have a big interest in saving up for the latest Pentax crop-sensor camera, the K70, I've been so incredibly pleased with my KS2 it's not even a consideration for now at least. Here's more evidence for the KS2 sensor capabilities. First the full image as shot then a 100%+ crop.
