Nice shots. I really like the building, neat place and it shows off the resolution of the K-S2- and also your Promaster lens is crazy sharp!

Thank you! And yes, the camera lens combo seems pretty nice! Both are new-to-me, and I've spent a lot of time with this exclusive combination (via Single in April here at the forums). It's a good exercise. :-)

was playing around with the promaster 19-35mm spectrum 7.
felt like i could have pushed the aperture higher.
but love the composition of these.
Don't you love that articulating screen? ^_^ I still have a little unfounded paranoia about somehow snapping it off if I'm not careful. :-o

Would like to see the same shots with Highlight Protection turned on fairly aggressively. Curious if that would help.

All my shots were taken Highlight Protection ON with Auto setting. Shadow correction OFF. Highlight correction works with RAW files, what Shadow correction do not. I have not find any difficulties with highlights. I use mostly M-mode, DNG-RAW and usually check the histogram after taking a photo.

Thanks for the info. I have read that the Highlight Protection works only from the metered point and upward leaving the rest alone.

Very nice landscape pics of Finland and unique looking.

Nice picture on full aperture. SMC-A 28mm f2.0 seems to have good contrast and no chromatic aberrations full open. Colours look natural on my profiled monitor, K-S2 renders colors so beautifully.

Thanks for the info. It's nice to know that with certainty. Mark

Those are nice. I see what you're doing with the bottom edge. I also think the reds all look natural.

x-posted from LensBaby thread, with Sweet35. I like how the DR is such that, although the crescent of the Moon is blown out, Features are visible in the Earth glow with the rest of the image. This sensor is great. Pentax should market an up-spec K-S3 with 14 bit and the few missing features, as a k-3/K-3II alternative, but I guess they would be competing with themselves.
