Thank you! In the last image, of the red tulips, I did adjust the H/S/L sliders. I pushed the reds to the orange side, beefed up saturation, and pulled down luminance. It was OK as is, but I wanted something richer.

Seeing the Marktax's HDR sample above I wanted to try out the other HDR settings on the K-S2 here is a quick comparison:

A SOOC JPEG

HDR Setting 1

HDR Setting 2

HDR Setting 3

I think with HDR setting 1 I could probably have gotten a similar effect processing the raw. but its good to see what availabel ranges there are.

Some photos from ski touring at Oisavansuo Finland. Overcast sky. Taken with K-S2 and FA 77mm 1.8 Ltd. Some local sharpening added to lichen photos. Next to last photo is taken with FA 31mm 1.8 Ltd.

Not sure if it's possible to post some pictures taken from K-S1 here as both cameras are sharing the same sensor?

That was my intention when I started the "Fun with the S1" thread - that it would be a place to show off the K-S1. Rather like the "No more tests just pictures" thread.

loving this camera so far, but theres a lot of new features like clarity enhancement and the AA filter the exposure bracketing. composite images and even interval shooting with the GPS/ star trails. Overwhelming a bit.

Would like to see the same shots with Highlight Protection turned on fairly aggressively. Curious if that would help.

was playing around with the promaster 19-35mm spectrum 7.
felt like i could have pushed the aperture higher.
but love the composition of these.
