Very heavy crop on our backyard visitors.
I slipped out on the deck with my K-S2 and 18-135 to get the shot, but with the heat and humidity I had to keep wiping the moisture off the lens.
First grab shot was a blur.

Another couple of shots from the same ride as above, with the kit 18-50. The lighting was midday harsh, and this was @ 18mm, and there was halo along the ridgelines even before any PP was done. Slight blue-fringing, too, but overall I still like the combo as a take-along, WR combo.

Ordinary Tools for an Extraordinary Task

I took hundreds of shots with my KS2 this summer in Israel while I dug on an archaeological excavation, dealing with materials from 3000 years ago. The full-motion screen came in handy, the weather sealing saved the day more than once. This was taken with my old battle-scarred DA 18-250mm.

Mt. Hermon Sunrise

Work on an archaeological excavation starts early; up at 4:30 AM, at the site by 5:00 AM. The soft pre-sunrise light is perfect for site photos before work starts. Some mornings, you just have to stop and take the boilerplate "beautiful sunrise" shot. Taken with my KS2 and the Pentax DA 18-250mm.

A site in the far north of Israel called Tel Abel Beth Ma'acah. That's Mt. Hermon the sun's rising over.

That's a beautiful part of the world. I haven't been that far north on Highway 90... only as far as Kiryat Shmona. From there, have been east to Dan, Caesarea Philippi, and Mas'ada. I imagine those sun rays are shining down right around Dan.
