butterfly shots. meh but had to try

also i aqquired a new lens. the hd 55-300. i like it, but i think id rather have the sig 17-70. with the 55-300 being so affordable id rather just keep it, but i need the sigma in the next coming months. : /.

This last Saturday night we had a super moon, but we also had lots of much needed rain. Thursday night was the last partially clear night I decided to take a couple of shots with the K-S2 & Tamron 70-200 lens. These shots were hand held and cropped.

Your moon shots are nice and crisp on my screen, but I have to go to your Zenfolio link to see them. They don't show up in this thread for me either.

Looks great. Good colors and sharpness. Opened the Zenfolio pages.

No point in posting them here and then making them "Content protected by the owner".

Capital Lake in Olympia

I had about an hour free afternoon time while in Olympia and decided to take some photos of Capital Lake. I have often seen the lake from I-5 but never gone to it before. I never realized it before but the lake is surrounded by deciduous type trees. They haven't started changing colors yet, but I am going to try and come back. Photos were taken with either the DA 20-40mm or DA 15mm with the K-S2. The first two have a blue color cast to them and I can't seem to remove it without affecting the sky. Still working on that.

The title of this thread is "Post your K-S2 Shots Here." Obviously, the intent was to designate a place to put shots taken with the new K-S2 camera, and so far you've all done a spectacular job doing that. However, I'm curious to see some more shots *of* your K-S2 cameras, particularly if you're using one of the exotic color combinations, and particularly if you're using lenses that are some color other than black... like silver, or any of the custom treated lenses done by forum member dcshooter. Do you have a qualifying camera and/or lens combo? Please post up! This is a call for camera p0rn!

Pentax KS-2 and Leitax converted Olympus

This is not what was asked, but anyway here it is: Pentax KS-2 with Leitax converted Olympus OM-System Zuiko MC Auto-T 1:2. No funny colors!

Pics taken with Pentax Q and 01 Standard Prime. Converted BW in Lightroom. Notice the little silver cap under the Takumar hood - it's Q's!

This is my "teaser". More on Flickr.
