Took pictures of my tele for a music forum with the K10D (DA*16-50) and K-S2 (DA 35 Limited) and expected to like the K10D pictures better. Ended using mostly the K-S2. I guess that shows that the lens is more important than the body (though the DA*16-50 is no slouch...)

While I'm an amateur astronomer, I have rarely taken shots of the sky--day or night. But eclipses (solar or lunar) and sunspot groups are the exception.

Here's the sun with a few groups of sunspots, taken today with my K-S2 through a Svbony 80mm f/7 refractor telescope and Baader solar film. The orientation of the solar image was not changed from the way the 'scope showed it.

I brought this pot of portulaca to my mom each year in assisted living, to make up for the lack of a yard there. She left us last winter, but the pot still gets planted; here it sits on our deck.
Shot with k-s2 in Bright mode, A50/1.4 at f/4, iso200; resized, cropped, desaturated(!) and a pinch of sharpening.
