Ha!
Haven't looked at the pix yet, only just got home after a long day. Train journey is not too long (it's nice having a 140mph train to London from the sticks), it's the Underground from St. Pancras to Baron's Court (12 stops on the Piccadilly) which is a bit tiring when it's like a sardine tin. However.
I think between us we took 140 shots or so today, mostly with the 55-300, and the handling was basically OK. The battery still shows full after that, too. However, SWMBO found that the position of the mode dial and 4-way controller is perhaps not optimal. It might have been better located further down the back of the K-S1. Her thumb had tended to rest on the OK button, and she managed to shift the camera to 12-sec delay shooting without realising and then spent some minutes wondering why the camera was beeping at her. So there will be some shots of her left foot, etc. Unlikely to make that mistake again, however. She was the main user of our old K100D Super and this was her first major outing with the K-S1.
