The Lightroom preview file is not viewable, is this a file problem or a camera raw problem?

What camera is it for? Also what version of Lightroom? There is issue with the new GPU acceleration with the new version.

if you just updated I would guess it may be light room issue. there is a group on facebook called http//www.facebook.com/groups/lightroomhelpgroup that has top experts that may be able to help

Hmmm, I think this happened to me when I imported RAW file sin PEF format.

It seems lightroom CC does not yet support the K-S2's newer PEF. If that is the case then try using DNG.

Appears to be a firmware bug—try updating to 1.02.
