I just bought one and was sort of surprised the battery is only 1000mah, are there any alternatives? Is there any way to charge the Pentax batteries via USB instead of the three prong wall plug which seems incredibly overkill for a 1000mah battery? I have a 25600mah battery pack I use to charge most of my electronics, would love to be able to charge the battery my camera uses with it.

I bought from Amazon UK a third party charger for the li109 battery, that only has a usb connector. Worked fine. USB-Charger for Pentax D-Li109 / K-30, K-50, K-500, K-r: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo
