Settings/General Questions

When I purchase my next camera (hopefully very soon). I want to go beyond program/automatic mode into the manual mode. When you are shooting do you use different modes for every situation or combo of modes?

What manual setting do you the most? Beyond the kit lens what would be your general purpose lens?

I'd recommend getting either the 18-135mm, 16-85mm, or Sigma 17-70mm as an upgrade over the kit lens.

As for shooting modes, Pentax's Hyper Program is great since you can effectively shoot in shutter or aperture priority without ever leaving P mode
