Battery Charger Question

The battery charger for my K-S2 is a D-BC109. It works on 120V AC in the USA. Will it also work on European voltage (240V, 50Hz) without a step-down converter? Thx.

What does it say on it? What does your manual say?

It should work - the bodies I have bought from the UK and Germany came with chargers that were identical to those bought in the US, just with different cords.

Doesn't the charger have a data label on the back? The label should say under "Input" whether it can handle 120 and 240 volts, or just 120.

Thanks for all the responses. The manual doesn't say anything about it. The back of the unit says "Input: 120V 60Hz." I can't imagine that this wouldn't work. Every other charger/adapter I have does. But puzzling.

I have one marked "Hoya" and one marked "Ricoh". The data is molded into the back on both. While it says "120V 60Hz" in the upper left corner by the "UL listed" logo, there is a screw in the center, and just to the right of the screw, it says "INPUT: 100-240V~ 50-60Hz."
