K-S2 Menu Button

I've had this camera for a few months and really love it. My only gripe is the placement of the Menu button. If I'm not careful, I trip this button easily with the palm of my hand when holding the camera. Of course this prevents the shot. If only there was a way to turn the button off.

I press the shutter button, nothing happens, what the heck??
Oh, I've accidentally bumped it to self timer again with the base of my thumb!
So far I've never accidentally bumped the menu button.
I love this camera too!

Yes, that too. Be nice to have a lockout function.

Alternative hand hold

I have not had that particular problem, but have found my hand activating button unintentionally. I have developed an alternative hand hold. Best explained as if you were holding a pistol. I assume conventional is is you were holding a pistol and aiming forward. I use the S2 a lot as if I am holding a pistol and firing upwards. The RH base of the K-S2 fits into the palm just above the thumb muscles. With the light setup of the S2 I find it workable. Less likely to accidentally press buttons.
