Hello.

I have noticed that video quality is much worse on K-S2 than on my old K-5. I'm gonna perform some tests.

Now I can tell you that it is better to turn off stabilization on video. Probably 1080p looks better on 24/25 fps and I'm gonna check if JPEG quality is related to movie quality.

The results without posting video sample files.

on HD the bitrate is the same, but scaling down looks not nice

K5

Do not use SR on K-S2 video. It affects focus field.

Glad to see this. Have used video on my KS2 sparingly, with disappointment. I'm in nature a lot, and the bushes "vibrate" as if on drugs! I'll start experimenting with settings.

Pentax have ruined their video output mostly by using electronic SR which introduces those wobbles you see.
They are in denial about it (being so bad). Video is one of the reasons I moved away from Pentax.

Video on K-5 (first edition) looks much better. SR is quite useful there and I was little shocked that this works worse now. Looks like I can record better quality movies using my mobile phone now than K-S2.
