K-S2 Action Shots

Hello All,

Has anyone done action shots with their K-S2, if so how did you like it? Is K-S2 good for action shots? Post same sample shots.

Come on you K-S2 shooters, get on this... inquiring minds want to know... specifically, better or worse than a K-5?

This thread made me realize I have not done any action shots in a long time. Unless you call people jogging by action. I present the only real action shot I have taken and it was quite by accident. I kind of like the minimalist outcome. I too hope others will post some.

bike going by about 70mph, I am sure the K-S2 in the hands of a good photographer would do a lot better than my efforts

I had some tests about continuous focusing ability with my K-S2 & DAL 18-50. I think it's fairly secure in terms of transverse movement, but maybe not as satisfying as you hope when shooting an item moving toward the camera.

Just learn to accustom it, and you'll get what you want.

Below are two of my relatively recent action shots. For both, settings were 1/800 at ISO 800. I likely used ATv and continuous shooting. To enlarge an image, click on it.

Best wishes.

That doesn't look too bad. I recently took some shots with my dog running in some Grey, misty condition and the photos came out so grainy. I'll upload some pictures if I have not already deleted them.
