Photos not coming out sharp

Hi,

For the past few days the photos have not been coming out very sharp it seems a bit grainy. Not sure if the focus is off or something. I have been using complete auto mode. Never had this issue before. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry, I forgot to add some important info. I'm shooting with k-s2. Only in jpeg and using kit lens 18-55.

Sample photos in the link below.

Thanks,

Do you have the EXIF data available for the photo?

Thanks,
You need to check whether you have some kind of sports preset which forces both very high shutterspeeds as well as an incredible f16 aperture, puhing up the ISO to 12800 which adequately explains the lack of sharpness.

Sounds like the most likely explanation would be inadvertent manual selection of ISO 12800, which would then push the other settings up.

You already have your answer: lower your ISO to a sensible value.

How does that happen in auto mode?

It is possible to restrict the auto ISO range. You should check what it's currently set to. I would limit auto ISO to 100-1600 rather than letting it go any higher.
