Camera Gets 'Stuck' in Interval Movie Record mode

My K-S2 gets stuck in Interval Movie Record mode whenever I use it for a time lapse. All other movie modes get greyed out on my screen and I can't get out of it. (see photo) Even removing the battery does not reset it - I have to do a hard reset of all my settings. Does anybody else experience this? Any tricks to reset without losing all my other settings?

Frank

What happens if you change the mode dial to something other than movie?

Try...
  1. Switch to Movie mode
  2. Press the right arrow to show drive mode screen
  3. Up arrow to put focus on top row followed by left arrow to "OFF"
  4. Press OK

That worked perfectly! Thank you so much. Seems simple now that you say it. LOL

I am so pleased it worked. There are so many quirks to how the drive mode settings dialogs work.

You may be interested in removing drive mode from the list of settings that are retained when the camera is turned off (manual p105)

Rec Menu 4 --> Memory

I have done that on my camera to ensure that the camera will always start in the default drive mode.

Default is Single Frame? I prefer Continuous High. I reckon there's no way to change what the camera resets the setting to?
