What firmware version and type of cards are you trying? Version 1.00 does not support SDHC so you need a SD card 2GB or less to load the updated firmware. Then you can use SDHC cards.

You might be able to partition a SDHC card on a PC or Mac so the primary partition is 2GB or less and "fool" the camera that way.

Thank you so much for the info ! I have a feeling I ditched a camera a while back because of the same issue.

All this is for nothing. Thecamerabox declined my offer of $75 .
No sense in musing any further over this as I refuse to go a single penny higher. Oh well.....
Oh well, the K70 has other issues, kinda like the rest of the story.

I made an offer but have not heard back yet.
I DO have a KS2 that was dropped and needs a new base , flash cover , and a mode dial. This might be ok , but not for $99.
I made an offer on the camera also. They accepted it.I now have an LCD.The camera is in pristine condition, and included
the original box and some goodies inside. If you still need those parts I can send it along to you.

So what was wrong with the camera? Does it just not turn on at all?

Yes completely dead.I tried different fully charged batteries, cleaned the contacts. If a battery is left in it, it will
discharge it in a short time.I'm guessing it has a short somewhere. It doesn't look corroded, like it was water
damaged. It's beyond my skill level to dig any further with it.

I see. Well at least it was worth it for the screen. For any other uses, it probably wouldn't be worth buying, but if you get your K-70 to work then you ended up with a big win here.
