I just noticed these two cameras on Ebay. If they just had ABF I would be all over them. Not sure what to think if they won't power on ??

You wonder if they really DO know what's wrong, or they really didn't try to find out. Anyway too much to pay for a probable brick.

Yuup. That's my concern. No way to revive a brick...

I wonder if they don't show the back because someone took out te back screen to fix another K-S2. Not uncommon.

I bought a camera for "parts" once … sure enough, it was only good for parts, except not the parts I wanted, they'd already been removed!
At those prices they can whistle!

I had messaged them about actual photos of the cameras, from all sides.
Never heard back from them. They did confirm, they were tested with batteries
and were dead. I needed an lcd for a K70.
Figured they were the same as a K-s2.

I asked for additional info on the black/Orange one and was told they list all parts cameras as dead / won't power on.
They did say the camera was not yet pilfered for parts , and looked brand new.
I made an offer but have not heard back yet.
I DO have a KS2 that was dropped and needs a new base , flash cover , and a mode dial. This might be ok , but not for $99.
If you need a screen ? Maybe we can work something out if they accept my offer.
Still quite aprehensive about this deal.

OK,sounds good.I did make an offer on the green one. They declined. I'm also apprehensive on the listings, but they do have good feedback.
My biggest hurdle is tearing apart the camera to replace the screen, with my shaky old hands.

Yes....their feedback is quite good.
Your Shakey hands and my poor vision....we might end up with a pile of parts headed to the trash heap instead of two good cameras !....lol
I have fixed 3 solenoids so my confidence level and actual abilities are quite inflated .... for the moment anyway....lol

I just received a K100d that was a potential solenoid donor, but wanted to play with it for a while before deciding. I'm 0-4 on SD cards, none will read even after in-camera formatting. Hm.

the photos do not show the actual body but are "stolen" which could bring them into trouble.

One doesn't know if there is a working battery. Could be just that: Li-Ion finished.
But not to see the true photos is tricky.

Also that they don't respond is tricky.

All this is for nothing. Thecamerabox declined my offer of $75 .
No sense in musing any further over this as I refuse to go a single penny higher. Oh well.....

Possibly that saved you from a critical purchase.
For the LCD alone a bit expensive.
