I spent the past week snaking out the kitchen sink, swapping out the disposal and reworking the plumbing beneath. Ended it with a chiropractor visit, snap crackle pop.

Think I'm almost ready for the Ks2 solenoid surgery!

In the meantime I do have plenty of old-school lenses that do nice work, from the 17-28 fisheye to the A200/4. My DA lenses are getting impatient though..

I had tried with my osteopath but his path went the wrong way...

Your K-S2 had the first modification, i.e. "Generation-2"
This was already better (introduced Dec. 2015) but hit a few with ABF.

Ok....thanks for clarification. If the latest K-70's have the most recent solenoid , then maybe I will entertain the idea of getting one to replace my earlier beater K-S2 when and if it finally dies. I wish there was some data about the serial number range though , covering an approximate range of serial numbers with the gen three solenoid for the K-70.

One of these days I need to Pay-up here on PF so I can post some images of this K-S2'S solenoid from late in the lineage to verify that it is an actual gen 2 .

I took a slightly different path and decided to forego the Bone Crunchers and went straight for a simple increse of alchohol , and just before surgery a minor tranquilizer ! Did wonders for the anxiety and shakey hands , with the only noticeable side effect being a much improved mood , and perfect soldering !
