I have avoided getting the 31mm because I fear that I would neglect my other lenses. Although my other lenses do not necessarily have pixie dust, they do have feelings.

Thank you so much for your quality glass! I have been enjoying my pentax 50mm f1.7 lately on my K-30 with some great results.

Actually, this thread made me do a little research on the lens itself.. what a fantastic lens. looking through the photos taken with it, it is obvious how much better this lens is in just about every optical way than most zooms and even cheaper primes.

I think the '3D' look is more a combination of contrast and sharpness. And this lens has both.. in droves. To the point where when the winner is announced and the name given is a really strange way to say my own (haha), I will be bummed and kind of really wanting to try this lens out. But that is dangerous with any lens because if it is really as good as I think it is, I will want to keep it. rut roh.

That lens would be awesome. It would also be my first actual Pentax lens, all I have so far are Sigmas and Tamrons...
