It is written in the text of the post starting the thread. Thirty minutes after the thread was activated, only 33 entries have been made. People had a golden opportunity to practice; I don't plan to enter tomorrow, but I tried it just for the experience and was 4th entry. I didn't have any problems, but I spent my career as a software developer / college professor; people with less experience really lost an opportunity here - and I'm sure that there will be complaints tomorrow.

Well lets hope it runs a bit smoother than last time. I got in but the site froze at least 5 min but I worked my plan and it worked.

it won't allow you to enter until the proper time. You need to have a minimum of 10 forum posts during July.

What reason does it show - too few posts? You need to have at least 10 in July and prior to the date the thread was posted.

The same will apply to the actual raffle threads, so make sure you get those posts in before then.

Hmmm, the test raffle is yet still open, 3.5 hours after it began. I can confirm the test will not allow me to post
twice, (I can not comment on other's). SirTomster posted successfully, so clearly a flag failed there, (sorry
Tom, but I don't think you would've gotten a 2nd camera on a glitch, so don't fault me for ratting you out

No one appears to have less than 10 posts, so that does appear to be working. However, it's clear the test
has not tested the rush of 1-2000 people all trying to post at once. 05:00 is not far away. Time to prepare
a properly proportioned post for peak for performance.

Unfortunately some of the people who "want" a camera don't seem to want it enough to try the system in advance. Hopefully you and the others learned things from this experience so you'll be a step ahead for the real thing.

Confirmed testing by doing it a second time. Told me I had all ready entry. Seems like everything is working right.

Not sure why but I had to refresh and got an error message, but finally managed to post after a few tries. That means for whatever reason it wasn't working I probably can't enter the actual contest successfully, but I am here more for the exchange of ideas anyway. It's a great forum.

Sorry I am stupid not quite understand the rule of the raffle/contest, do I need to manually "enter" the raffle after I have 10 forum posts ? and do I need to post in 10 different sections as well ? does reply to post count ? I came here coz I received an invitation email.

I volunteer to test for an edge case. Hadn't posted in July until 5 hours ago, but looked through my pics of the last months and posted until I got 10 posts.
When I try to post a reply to the test thread it tells me
"1. You are not eligible to enter this raffle because you did not make any posts during the giveaway period.
2. All raffle entries have already been claimed."

I wonder if I'll be eligible to post to one of the real raffle threads

And if not, there's still August, right?
