I'm concerned we might not make it.

According to my spreadsheet, yesterday 'we' had 24 more posts than needed for another "raffle".

'We' will make it as long as 'we' consistently post, preferably in threads discussing photography or showing photographs {where you can easily make several posts in one hour}

What should it matter where you post as long as its part of the discussion on some thread? Just Curious.

I think he ment that doing that helps the forum while replying in here (like I do now ) doesn't do anything for the forum members...other that bringing us closer to that K-1 giveaway

I assume you know that posts in the "Groups" don't count towards the total. Everything else counts, but the members who qualify for the "raffle" by posting a minimal number of posts, and those being posts where they talk only about winning this camera, are kind of irritating. Yes, Adam allows that, and it is his money, but it is still irritating .... and I would like to see activity that would carry forward into September, even at a reduced level. From all appearances, that is exactly what will happen with SirTomster.

I haven't been able to find the post count on any of the pages. Where am I not looking?

There's a Notice that appears below the menu bar once you've entered the forum (not on the homepage). It's also on this page where you're reading this, and it's appearing now above "Reply to Thread" as I'm responding.

Perhaps you might try a different browser.

As I type this we have 9756 posts to go. I hope we make it.

why??

I have to disagree

the forums are designed for participation in many different areas:

General Pentax Forums

Camera Help Central

Pentax Cameras

Pentax Lenses and Accessories

Photo Sharing and Galleries

Photography

Off-Topic Forums

each with their subsections

see Pentax Forum - Camera & Photography Community - PentaxForums.com

why set up any artificial limitations that Adam hasn't selected

I like posting photographs as well as commenting in serious and non serious threads

and IMHO, none are better than any other sections of the forums

YMMV

On several occasions I have stated a personal preference that someone be involved in the PF community, not just make ten self-absorbed posts hoping to be a winner. I know what the rules are .... I should be allowed to hope for better than that.

{this counts too}

you need no one's permission to hope

I misunderstood your post as something other than your personal desire as the types of posts you would like to see posted

I've taken a wait and see position on the prediction... I know I've been posting at a rate of nearly 5 posts per week (but I do lurk a lot...) So, meeting the required ten post threshold is no big deal...
Wi all the posts to date and with the amount of days left to go...
I'm thinking the Forum will see somewhere in the neighborhood of 45,300 posts!
After all it is summer and a lot of folks are not at home... Hopefully, they're out shooting pictures!

Cheers!

I think you might be right... but if my case is statistically indicative, their families will be bugging them for taking pictures all the time, so they will probably not be out there taking pictures, but complaining.
