Actually, I'm not sure I'm going to enter this. The KP fits me better than the K-1 does, but the price of this K-1 is right. Since I was out of town this past week, I've had some form of rest. Sometime in the next 13-1/2 hours I'll decide.

My wife and I talked about this over dinner {she double-majored in Chem and Physics so she understands technical stuff}. She wanted me to know that I could purchase a KP {the camera that would best meet my needs} even if Adam were to give me a K-1. We decided that I should refrain from posting to one of the "raffle" threads, because that would put me in the way of someone who really wanted it.

The Pentax Forum, like most on-line places, provides no way to terminate membership. For example, Rupert is included in the 78,000 even though everyone knows he died last winter. The 2100 individuals who responded this month is probably a better membership list than the 78,000 in the database. From that viewpoint, we needed 20 responses from each member, but some responded only once or twice {I didn't take time to count yours}. so others of us had to respond more often than that.

You enter once - according to Adam you can only post once in the two threads. The system is supposed to be automatic from what he said, so if you get into the first 50 unique responses of the first thread you should be barred from posting in the second thread I as I understand it. In any case you are limited to one entry and all 100 valid entries will be used to generate the winner.

And even if one somehow managed to post in both, one's entries may be void.

Yes you can, my understanding is that the thread will auto-lock after 50 entries.

Including today, after the 40000 was reached, I'm closer to 1700 over 29 days, makes a 58 average.
I didn't start getting 100+ until past when half the month had finished, which is when others picked up as well, giving me more content to posts on

Also when Adam posted here I had an average of under 34 per day. After then it was around 80 per day overall average.

No no...just a FF cropped isent a huuuge drawback ofcourse, but would be nice to not rely on a k1000 for full frame shots.

I'd hate to win one over someone who didn't already have a K1, or could put a second to good use.

So, even a half hour time offset - you really are a reality show run by NASA, aren't you?

That is one possible explanation for our bizarre time zone. Sheer stupidity seems the most likely though

Adelaide is the same longitude as Tokyo, and with over 1000km from east to west it infuriates me that our chosen time zone is half an hour out of step.
