Maybe I missed it, but why were the number of entries, and threads, reduced from what was announced? Also, why are there limits at all on the number of people who can enter? It just seems like if people don't feel like they will have an opportunity to enter, they are less likely to post on here in the next months, thus thwarting the reason for this drive in the first place....
"When we reach the target number of posts, we will create four raffle threads, each separated by 6 hours (giving users in various time zones the opportunity to enter). The first 75 users to reply to each thread will get one raffle entry, and then the winner will be picked at random."

They were increased, from 100 in 2 threads in June to 300 in 4 threads in July. The text above is for the July giveaway.

So this is the post that let me know I had won. At first, I figured you were referring to the fact that due to Adam's change, I was allowed to be entered into the drawing. It could not have meant I won.

Then I had to go check to see if the winner had been posted and then saw my name. Blinked my eyes, refreshed the page and my name was still there.

I am still on cloud 9.

Today has been a roller-coaster. Up at 4:50 AM to hit the first opening. Show I am in as #51 then out as #55. Go back to bed for a few hours. Putz around the house after getting up. Get ready to try again at 5 PM and Adam announced those of us that showed up on the thread were in. So I am back in the running and now this.

Good thing it is Sunday tomorrow because I doubt I will be sleeping much tonight. My brain is all over the place.

Assuming that in the first draft there were 128 participants and in the next two 300 participants, if you try to win all 3 months you're chances of winning are 0,014%.

LATER EDIT: That's assuming you get the raffle in all three months, I didn't get into account the odds to get the raffle. And I forgot to multiply with 100, so odds are actually 1.4%.

Now... do you have a cat? That is generally the first thing to photograph.. especially with an expensive flagship body.

If no cat then a shot of the sky works too.. flower if you must. You have to prepare yourself for the delivery and unboxing of this camera..

I am almost tempted to hop in my car and drive over 2 hours to Wendover Nevada to try my luck in the casinos. Either I am on a streak or I have used up all my luck for a loooooooong time.

Now... do you have a cat? That is generally the first thing to photograph.. especially with an expensive flagship body.

If no cat then a shot of the sky works too.. flower if you must. You have to prepare yourself for the delivery and unboxing of this camera..

So this next weekend will be going to a dark sky area near home to take some images. But the following week, family vacation to a dark sky area Bortle 1 or 2.
