Sounds like a question for @Adam;

Who predicted closest, I wonder?

You have my sympathy. My K-30 seems to be slowly developing issues with the aperture control block. I assume you've read all the material here about that.

My "solution" for the next year will probably be several lenses with aperture ring.
Yes, I've read the forum about that. I have lenses with aperture ring but I have the same problem with all my lenses. I need to take a bunch of pictures before getting one with a normal exposure. I guess my problem is more severe, as I read in the first thread you posted.

I'm also using the aaa battery adapter and it seems to fix the problem a little bit.

You shouldn't have problems like that with manual lenses.

Are you using "green button" metering?

I have to admit that my reading slowed when I happened to notice my name {I'd already noticed that my name had mysteriously turned green}

I will be camping in a remote area, internet presumably unavailable from 7-30 to 8-2.
That sounds much more preferable to being camped at PF.

Well, the number of posts should increase due to all the debate regarding the June raffle. 50k posts should definitely be possible

Couldn't agree more! I'm sure there is quite a bit going on behind the scenes with all those people jumping in trying to win at once!

I really think you need to rethink the entry process for this giveaway- it is frustrating when a person attempts to enter and the system does not work as described- and have a very small additional thread really does not make up for it
I think part of the problem is due to the giveaway being called a "raffle". There are usually two kinds of raffles. One in which participants must buy or earn a raffle ticket. The other in which everyone present gets one free ticket. For a majority in the forum, we could not do either, but the gamesman in me wishes it was either completely random from anyone that posted in the month OR that it was somehow merit based.

Congratulations to the winner and thanks so much to Adam for the opportunity.

Question, if you made it into the June raffle, but did not win, are you eligible for the next two raffles?

No. Adam tweaked the rules and posted that you must have a minimum of ten new posts each month, and instead of two raffle threads at the end of July, there will be four; every 6 hours....assuming we hit the minimum 40k posts in July.
