These look like two different reds to my eyes.
Is there a standard "Pentax Forums" red?
If not, I like the brighter {second} of the two reds you used.

I just matched the reds to the two different Pentax Forums logos.

Standard Pentax logo red (not forum): 232,24,40
It is a bright red. I eyedropped many red Pentax logos and they came close to the above red.

A toned down.. little darker red: 200, 40, 40

OK .... I didn't know there are two different logos. Personally, I prefer the brighter red, but that is just me. I don't know how it would affect my voting and/or purchasing decision.
Our new logo is the one I'd like featured on these shirts. I think that color will print better on black shirts, too.

My entry Own the Night

Second try at getting this to upload as a picture. Design could be printed on blue, black, or gray

KISS principle!

"My whole work experience involves design, and editing other people's designs. In addition, I was principle artist for a screen printing company for some years. As such, my motto is "Keep It Simple Stupid".

A simple design, with fewer colors and a message that doesn't take a PhD in photography to understand, is important. People see t-shirts on the fly, often from a distance, perhaps through a crowd, fleeting, and that makes the simple design with a strong, easy message to understand very important. I love the design shown on the first page of this discussion, the one with a large "P" made up of pix of various Pentax cameras. It's extra nice because it doesn't focus on any one camera or discriminate against any one camera, so everybody is included. Also, it won't "date" as easily. Just sayin'.

If possible, I would love it if there were an iron-on that we could buy so we can put it on our camera bags, luggage, our own shirts, hats, books and folders, furniture, whatever. It expands the possibilities endlessly.

BTW, I might have entered but I'm traveling right now and don't have all of my software--or much free time.

Speaking of kisses

Thinking about the K.I.S.S. principle--how about an ink schematic of a DSLR (K-1?) with a red lipstick kiss across it.

I like the 3rd option. For option 2, maybe the camera outline also in the same red as pentax forums and printed on dark grey / black might also look good. Just a suggestion. Regards
