Meanwhile, some unfortunate has noticed the banner headline just now and is desperately trying to figure out how to "claim {his} daily raffle entry".

The giveaway is now over, and I plan to draw the winners tomorrow, time permitting! I hope everyone enjoyed the event- I would say that it was certainly success overall, as it more than doubled activity on the forum throughout the giveaway period.

Please stay tuned for another raffle very soon (I'd love suggestions on the prize). A likely change during the next iteration will be to relax the requirement of making a certain number of posts each day, as the midnight GMT cutoff proved confusing for some users. What I'm currently planning to do is to double the contest period, increase the maximum number of raffle tickets by 1.5x, and allow 1 ticket to be earned every x posts made at any point during the contest period.

Be careful of any scheme which associates number of tickets to number of posts.

and I think that restricting past grand prize winners from winning the grand prize is only fair

[ full disclosure I was lucky enough to have won the KP back in 2019 ]

however, it is not up to me to set the rules for any raffle

so when they are set, I won't be complaining

as far as a grand prize

perhaps letting the Grand Prize winner a choice of one from several options

a new lens or

a DSLR or

a vintage lens

I agree, I was merely noting the complaints that were engendered.

In the first 2018 K-1 drawing, I became concerned that we would fail to reach the minimum goal, so I started posting and posting.
At first, I was one of the "top posters", but over time others adopted the methods I had first used, and even if I posted 100 times a day, I was third or fourth.
One of those posters expressed unhappiness later, because he had not taken time to show the affection he could have for his cat, who died soon thereafter,
but each time some new participants are attracted.
I too will follow the rules as stated, but since I am retired, I am capable of posting a lot if I want the "prize".
I have never received the top "prize", but that won't stop me - or even slow me much.
