I'm thinking of sensing my K1 limited for upgrade but I have a hard time having proper answer to my questions from the people at sun camera.
I send them very simple list questions and get confusing answer to only one of the questions.
My first questions was about the price and if the shipping for the return was included and they answered me to send the camera so they will then see ...
I also asked if something else was included in the service and what was the warranty and didn't get any answer to that.
In my second email I asked if it was posing a problem that my pentax K1 is the limited edition and they answered that only the K1 can be upgraded in this program. This doesn't answer my question at all and make me wonder if they know what is the limited edition K1.
So I don't have much confidence sending them my camera when basic communication doesn't seems to be their forte. At the same time I don't have other option if I wan't to upgrade my K1 since pentax decided to make them the only dealer authorized to do the work.
My camera is 6 months old and works perfectly and while I would benefit from the improve AF performance in tracking I hate sending my precision gears to place I don't trust.
have you received your camera since and what is your experience with sun camera after having to deal with them ?
