What type of Glue for Lens ring

I have a F lens that a small metal ring fell off the back of the rear element. It snaps on, but it had a small amount of glue making it permanent. What type of glue should i use? Its right next to the element and I read super glue is a no no because it will cause a haze. Just not sure what other type of glue would be acceptable.

Some Loctite or clear/black nail varnish should do the trick. The nail varnish is glossy but if you apply it right it shouldn't show.

You can get clear nail lacquer but it is best to use garish red as the next repair person needs to know.
