DA*16-50 zoom ring not working

Hello all,

Recently the zoom ring on my DA 16-50 stopped working. It became stiff then stopped zooming out. It zooms in to 50 but won't zoom back to 16. Have to gently push the lens back in, then it seem to realign but same thing happens. This seems to affect the auto focus as well. It's already been converted to screw drive.

Is it worth it to have this repaired? Or better off getting a new lens?

I took it to a local repair shop and they said it would cost about $200 to repair this.

Any thoughts?

If $200 is all it takes, I think it would be worth repairing.

IMO $200 is money well spent repairing a DA*16-50!!
