PLEASE HELP: Assembly problems with SMC Pentax 50mm F1.2

Thanks, but the problem is, that I can not focus at 0.45m. it´s blocked. The Limit is between 0.55 and 0.6m (as you can see on one of the pictures).
=( I didn´t know where the error is.

loose the screw on the focus barrel and adjust it and re tighten it

would be fine if it will be as easy, but for this I had to do some dissambling first =(

Great Thanks for the trick DCShooter and thanks a lot to all helpers.
I fixed it for a little bit. Now close focus is at near 0.53 m but not at 0,45.
For me it´s okay and I decided to use it like this. Maybe I fix it later but I think It´s okay for me to have 10cm lost.

Here are some more examples
1) F1.2_at infinity
2) F4_at infinity
3) F1.2_at infinity
4) close focus (about 55cm) @ F1.2
5) close focus (about 55cm) @ F2
6) close focus (about 55cm) @ F2.8
7) close focus (about 55cm) @ F4
8) close focus (about 55cm) @ F5.6

Are you sure you have the element back in the proper order? I looks really out of focus

Hi,

I'm might come in too late!

That item 2 in the picture of post #7 consists of two parts: the focusing ring and a part of the barrel. These two parts are screwed together with a very fine thread, making the focus ring rotating. My guess is that you should try to unscrew the focus ring one or two turns, before putting the stop screw for close and infinite focus. Then insert the lens elements block at the right angle and fix the two clamps that prevent the lens element block to turn freely.

Never disassembled the 1.2, but this focusing mechanism is universal in Pentax lenses.

One thing more: that's left handed thread, so you unscrew it while turning it clockwise!
